When my business slowed down, I felt like I had lost a part of myself and wondered who I was. Through that difficult season, I found a renewed passion for human connection—especially with my clients.
I am the 7th child in my family and I was blessed with an amazing mother who, over time, became my best friend and travel buddy. She was very protective of me as the youngest daughter, and I learned from her how to take care of a family—a lesson I had to apply early in life.
After high school, I moved from Wyoming to Florida, where I worked for 10 years as a server at a restaurant before moving back to Wyoming. That’s when I had my 2 children, Vanessa and Keaton. As a single mother, I worked hard to buy a home and provide for them.
We eventually returned to Wyoming, where I continued working at a restaurant, but I craved a new career. Interestingly, one of my clients, Laurel, approached me and asked, “What would it take for you to work with me as my assistant in real estate?” Laurel was a generous employer—she gave me medical insurance and provided whatever I needed to transition into real estate. We worked together for 10 years, and I learned about homes and their foundations simply by handling foreclosures and how they work.
In 2008, I transitioned to another brokerage and was welcomed by a mentor who, through his coaching, helped me become one of the top agents at the office, selling between $14 and $17 million worth of real estate each year. Coming from a large Catholic family, I’ve always been family-oriented, a spirit I brought to the office by cooking food for the agents. I took the lead in organizing parties for the community, and I made the brokerage shine!
Eventually, I moved to a smaller brokerage, which meant parting ways with my mentor—not on the best terms. After 10 years, losing touch with him and experiencing that disconnection weighed heavily on me. In addition, my business also slowed down, and I struggled with self-esteem issues. My identity had been that of a top agent, and when I no longer felt like one, I wasn’t sure who I was anymore. At the same time, my mom was battling cancer, adding another layer of pain to an already difficult period. As I stood by her side, saying goodbye to my best friend, I found myself going inward—communicating less with clients and spending more time reflecting on my life.
What came out of that introspective period, filled with grief and soul-searching, was the realization that I deeply value human connection. Disconnection feels foreign to who I am. Inspired by this understanding, I reached out to my former mentor and told him I couldn’t live with the distance between us. I wanted to be on good terms with him, and after some apologies, we now are. None of us are perfect, and we all deserve the grace of a second chance.
I also became deeply involved with the community again, this time with a stronger desire for connection. I deliver food to the senior community, showing my love through cooking. My children are now adults: Vanessa is 32, and Keaton, 26, is a REALTOR® and part of Team Lovato. Every Sunday, they come over for supper, and I cannot emphasize this enough—I love cooking. Mexican, Italian, you name it. I also love reading anything that helps me grow as a person, listening to podcasts, and caring for my flowers and plants.
Now that I’ve turned over 60, I’m excited for all that’s ahead. I look forward to building even deeper connections with my clients because that’s who I am at my core—someone who strongly values human connection.
I treat my clients like family—praying for them, supporting them, and being not just their REALTOR® but also their friend. I have a passion for helping people achieve homeownership, even those who believe it’s out of reach due to financial limitations. As a former single mother who bought a home on a modest income, I know it’s possible with the right team.
Being a REALTOR® means being my clients' negotiator and advocate. I would never steer someone into a harmful or unwise decision. My goal is to find my clients a beautiful home while respecting their finances and honoring their needs. Knowledge is power, and I strive to educate them so they can make informed decisions.
Reliability is one of my strengths—I always answer my phone and respond quickly. I bring deep market knowledge and expertise in residential, commercial, and investment properties. Plus, I have a trusted network of top-notch vendors to support my clients’ needs. You can count on me for my honesty, consistency, and unwavering integrity.
Sincerely,
